Biography of Margie Mohler, Mayor of Yountville

Margie Mohler was elected Mayor of the Yountville Town Council in November 2022.

She was first elected as a Yountville Council Member in 2008 and was re-elected in 2012, 2016, and 2020. Margie has been an active Commissioner of the NVTA Board from 2008 – 2014 and again from 2020 to the present.

Margie’s educational background includes a B.A. in microbiology from the University of Kansas, followed by graduate work at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her professional journey led her to the University of California, Riverside in 1977, and later she accepted a position at Genentech, Inc. in 1984. Throughout her tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Margie continued her impactful work in drug development, focusing on critical diseases.

In 1999 Margie relocated to Yountville, where she founded Ciencia Group, LLC —a consulting firm specializing in drug development for the pharmaceutical industry.
