Night closures at Soscol Junction April 17 and 18

When completed, Soscol Junction will include two roundabouts to help keep traffic moving at the busy SR29/SR221 intersection.

 

Caltrans has scheduled single lane closures on Southbound State Route 29 between the southbound SR29/SR221 interchange to Napa Valley Drive.

Crews will be working on a paving operation and a new alignment of new roadway grade as part of the Soscol Junction Roundabout project. To ensure the safety of workers and motorists, single lane reductions will be in place on southbound SR-29. One traffic Lane on SR-29 will always be open to traffic in each direction.

Crews will begin overnight work on two consecutive nights beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday night April 17, 2024 until Thursday April 18, 2024 at 5 a.m. and continuing on Thursday night, April 18, 2024 also from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that southbound traffic lanes will be shifted to the new bridge structure.

All work is weather dependent.

Please drive with caution.

The intersection improvements are a joint project of the Napa Valley Transportation Authority and Caltrans, which is schedule for completion this fall.
