Vine Transit Announces Two New Routes
New services include renamed routes; riders are encouraged to check the routes and schedules for which route they need.
Napa, Calif. – Starting August 14, Vine Transit will operate local bus routes A – G, in lieu of the existing routes N, S, E, and W. This change includes two new routes with service to north and south Napa, respectively.
The new Vine bus routes will be:

A: On-Demand Service Area
B: Westwood / South Napa
C: Jefferson / Central Napa
D: Shetler / Shurtleff
E: Salvador / Vintage H.S.
F: Southwest Napa
G: Coombs / South Napa
Vine Transit operated similar routes from January to March 2020 but had to suspend the service switch to on-demand service in response to reduced ridership.
The bus routes may not be consistent with prior routes, so Vine riders are encouraged to check the schedule online (www.vinetransit.com) or at the Soscol Gateway Transit Center. For example, the old Route E currently provides service to Shetler and Shurtleff, but riders who want to get to that area after August 14 would board the Route D. Route E will take riders up to the Salvador area of Napa.
Popular destinations of new service routes include:
- Providence Queen of the Valley (Route E)
- Ole Health North Campus (Route E)
- Ole Health South Campus (Route G)
- Outlet Mall (Route B)
- Napa High School (Route C)
- Vintage High School (Route E)
- Imola Park and Ride (Route F)
- Downtown Napa (Routes B, C, E, F, G)
“These changes will restore most of the service that the Vine offered prior to the Pandemic. The new schedule includes fixed route service to a number of additional locations. We’re particularly thrilled about service to Vintage High School,” said NVTA executive director Kate Miller. “Families often struggle with transportation, so having this option for students to get to and from school will hopefully provide some relief to families and flexibility to high school students.”
